Semiconductor Manufacturing Facility
Complex MEP systems modeling for a 400,000 sq ft semiconductor fabrication plant with clean rooms.
Project Overview
This state-of-the-art semiconductor manufacturing facility was developed to support precision chip fabrication within controlled cleanroom environments. The facility includes ISO-class cleanrooms, process gas distribution, central utility plants, and advanced HVAC and exhaust systems. Our team was responsible for end-to-end MEP and fire protection design and coordination using BIM.
The Challenge
Semiconductor fabrication demands ultra-clean, high-performance environments with strict environmental and safety requirements. This project required precise coordination of process utilities, cleanroom HVAC zoning, hazardous gas systems, and redundancy in critical infrastructure—all within a compressed construction schedule.
Our Solution
We produced fully coordinated BIM models for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems, integrating process tools, cleanroom specifications, and utility systems. Our team collaborated closely with fab engineers and system vendors to ensure proper integration, minimize risk, and support phased construction and commissioning.
Results & Impact
Delivered ISO-compliant cleanroom systems (Class 5–8) with advanced HVAC zoning
Integrated 25+ process utilities including high-purity gas, DI water, and exhaust systems
Reduced field clashes and delays using prefabrication-ready BIM coordination
Provided LOD 400 as-built models to support commissioning and operational readiness
